# Custom Code Compatibility

The [first update article](/argus-wordpress-plugin/version-6.2.0/update-guide/update-from-1.x-and-2.x-to-5.x.md) described why I had to rebuild the plugin's foundation. During previous versions of the plugin, a lot of custom code had been written by buyers for more individual needs. This code is no longer compatible with the new version.
